Cottage Eight Films - The Candy Factory

A portrait of an unorthodox ecosystem in a former candy factory in Brooklyn.

Winner of Best Documentary Short at Academy Award Qualifying Provincetown International Film Festival, 2024. The Candy Factory has also screened at Rooftop Films, Bend Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival and Santa Fe International Film Festival.

The New Yorker will be releasing the short in the summer of 2025. An accompanying book will be coming out in the Fall.
